My article “The Nachtkalb of Colmar,” is now available in the Myths, Fables, and Folklore double issue of The Quarter(ly). I translated several French- and German-language sources for this article, and undertook a loot of research on the French “bête du village” or village monster, particularly in the region of Alsace for this article. I hope you enjoy it; it’s one of my goals to as a writer to make Alsatian folklore and history more accessible to an English-language audience.
